This documentary will capture the history, the pioneers, and the ongoing impact of sleep technologists — preserving the legacy of the field and spotlighting the people who make it possible. These dedicated professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes, delivering vital overnight diagnostics, daytime testing, and compassionate care to millions affected by sleep disorders. Their expertise has transformed countless lives and supported families facing the challenges of these conditions.

- Your support will be prominently displayed during the Southern Sleep Society’s conference on a “Step and Repeat” backdrop. The backdrop will include your logo at the conference. Logo size depends on sponsorship level.
- Your support will also allow you to play an integral part in bringing this film and the recognition of sleep technologists to realization.

Production Timeline
Upon completion, the documentary will enter the Film Festival Circuit in August 2026, aiming for a World Premiere at Sundance, January 21-31, 2027, in Boulder, Colorado. After the festival run, a copy of the documentary will be archived with AAST.
Our Production Team
The documentary is produced by Marilyn Swick’s “Sleep On It Productions, LLC”. Marilyn is a multiple award-winning director, producer, and screenwriter. Joining Marilyn on the production team are legacy pioneers Marietta B. Bibbs, BA, RPSGT, CCSH, FAAST, FAASM, and Kevin Asp, RRT, RPSGT, CCSH.
