The 2012 Southern Sleep Society'34th annual meeting is being held on March 29-April 2, 2012 at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort located on Northwest Florida's Emerald Coast between Pensacola and Panama City, eight miles east of Destin, FL.

The keynote address is presented by Dr. Carlos H. Schenk and the agenda includes a RLS and PLM Symposium as well as a half-day symposium on training programs in sleep medicine. The meeting includes a pre-conference technologist course, offering 7.5 educational credits and world-renown technologist presenters.

The $146 room rate includes complimentary resort transportation, two bicycles per unit for 4 hours/day, fitness center access, one hour per day of tennis court time and one hour usage on either a canoe, kayak or boogie board..
The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has offered the Southern Sleep Society a room rate of $146.00. All rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes and fees in effect at time of check-in (currently 11.5% for accommodations and 9% taxes and fees for all other services). Rates are available from Tuesday, March 26-Monday, April 2, 2012. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. Call (877) 765-1502 to make your reservations. Mention that you are attending the Southern Sleep Society meeting when making your reservations. Attendees must make their own reservations. The cut-off date for the Southern Sleep Society rate is Monday, February 27, 2012. After this date, the room block will automatically be released and further reservation requests will be subject to space availability. Once an individual reservation has been made, any changes should be made directly with the Group Reservations Department. Sandestin requires a one night's room deposit to be received within ten (10) days after a reservation is made, or it will be canceled. The required advance deposit for each reservation is refundable only if the reservation is canceled or arrival date is changed at least seven days prior to arrival date.
The Grand Sandestin® consists of accommodations in the Grand, Lasata, Bahia, and Elation.
All room rates include complimentary resort transportation; two bicycles per unit for up to four hours of usage daily; fitness center usage; one hour per day of tennis court time (based on availability); one hour per day usage on either a canoe, kayak or boogie board.
All rooms will be charged a daily resort fee in the amount of twelve percent of the pre-tax amount of the daily room rate. The resort fee covers items, including but not limited to, self-parking and reservation processing services. The resort fee is not a government imposed charge. State and local sales tax will be collected on the resort fee.
