The Southern Sleep Society has hosted the Founders' Award contest for the past ten years. The award is given to young investigators who submit abstracts on original research. The Southern Sleep Society meeting offers the perfect forum for students who are working on their thesis, Fellows, Residents, medical students and technologists who want to get the experience of presenting before an audience. The winner of the award receives a $500 stipend and other participants have the opportunity to win sleep disorder textbooks.

Abstracts on original work must be submitted no later than February 15, 2010 in order to be considered. The final slide presentation must be submitted by March 1, 2010. E-mail all abstracts to southernsleep@aol.com. Abstracts will be published on the Southern Sleep Society's website.
